Cosy Cottage International Holiday Park is in a very quiet location. Situated in a residential area away from the main roads, we enjoy "peace and quiet, free from traffic noise" rarely found elsewhere in the city. We are bounded by open field with grazing horses. A riverbank suitable for Trout fishing, 2 residential dwellings and an undeveloped natural reserve with unique geothermal features. Discover sizzling thermal activity, boiling mud and the occasional sporadic Geyser. A short 2 minute walk through the reserve brings you to an exclusive private white sand beach on the Rotorua Lakeshore. Dig in the sand here and create your own natural hot pool on the edge of the lake, spades available from our office. The Utuhina Trout stream flows into the lake here, catch your trout at the stream mouth! Cook it in the Hangi oven!

We are only 3 minutes drive from the city centre, Restaurants and shops.
Just a five minute walk to a 24 hour supermarket, liquor store and Take aways.
Centrally located we are less than 10 minutes by car from most major tourist attractions.

How to find Cosy Cottage International Holiday Park. We are approximately 2 ½ hours by car from South Auckland. We are approximately 1 hour by car from Taupo. We are approximately 1 ¼ hours by car from Hamilton and Tauranga. To find your way to Cosy Cottage on S H 5 from Auckland. Take the motorway, State Highway 1, South from Auckland to Hamilton and Cambridge, then Tirau. After Tirau turn off on to State Highway 5 to Rotorua. On arrival in Rotorua, at the First Traffic lights turn left onto LAKE ROAD. (signposted to city centre). Counting the streets, WHITTAKER ROAD is the third street on the LEFT after the lights, just past the GULL petrol station and 24 hour Woolworths supermarket on the on the Right. To find your way to Cosy Cottage from Rotorua Lakefront. Facing the lake take the roads to your left, direction west to Hamilton. From the traffic lights at the Lake road intersection, where steam blows across the road, count the roads on your right. Whittaker road is 4th on your right just over the bridge, before the Gull service station on the left.
